Two long-time racers have announced the formation of a new kart shop in Indianapolis located just 1 mile from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Evolution Karting is located at 312 Gasoline Alley in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Evolution has also been named an official dealer for CRG chassis as well as TOP-KART.

Kurt Mathewson and Garrick Miller will own and operate the shop which will sell, prepare and service new CRG and TOP-KART racing  karts from Cadets through shifters.  In addition they will provide services such as maintenance , race preparation, axle straightening, chassis straightening and other services for most brands of karts.  At-track services will also be provided with a parts trailer traveling to selected local and regional and national events. 

Evolution will also sell Bridgestone Tires, Mychron Data systems DID chain, NGK spark plugs and many other parts and accessories.  Safety equipment including helmets, gloves, karts suits, crew gear etc., will also be available at the same location provided by Chris Paul of North American Race Gear who will also be located at the same address.  North American features Bell Safety equipment, and other lines, including helmets and kart suits as well as a full line of fireproof racing gear and HANS devices for the non-karting crowd.

Kurt Mathewson is a successful commercial real estate developer and has been involved in motorsports as a driver in SCCA, IMSA, Grand-AM and ALMS series for over 25 years and began racing karts with his son 5 years ago. Garrick Miller is a commercial flooring contractor and has raced cars and/or karts himself and with his son (and daughter) for over 20 years as well.

Miller and Mathewson have been working together the past two seasons running drivers in the Stars of Karting, WKA Manufacturer’s Cup, and Great Lakes Pro Tour series.
