Florida Winter Tour - Homestead - Preview
Two CRG dealers/race teams have joined forces to run Keith Spicer in the Pro Shifter Class at the 2008 Florida Winter Tour event. Evolution Karting
and DL Racing will jointly support Spicer’s effort to win the FWT’s marquee class. The first race is at Homestead-Miami Speedway January
19-20.
“We had a seat available as our normal driver (Cole Mathewson) has college commitments which will keep him from participating in
this years FWT. I asked Dave Davies of SSC East if he knew any top notch drivers who needed a ride - someone who would be competitive to win. He
called back the next day and said he had a great candidate and it was Keith Spicer. I’ve seen Keith drive the last couple years in Stars
events, and he’s always fast so I knew he’d be a great addition to our program. Dave put me in touch with Derrick Lesinski at DL Racing,
another CRG dealer who Spicer has been driving for. I called Derrick, told him what I would do and what I wanted, and that we’d run a joint
effort. We had a deal in about 2 minutes and we’re really happy to have him as part of our program.” said Kurt Mathewson owner of
Evolution Karting in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Evolution Karting is a CRG and Top-Kart dealer in Indianapolis, Indiana and DL Racing sells CRG,
Kosmic and Tony-Kart chassis in Pinellas Park, Florida.
