Evolution Karting Driver Announcement
Jason Lee to Drive a CRG for 2008 Season
Indy Karting Series 2007 Pro Shifter champion, Jason Lee, has decided to switch to a CRG chassis
prepared by Evolution Karting for the entire 2008 season. Lee will switch from the red chassis he’s driven for the past two seasons to the
black CRG and will compete in the Stars of Karting series as well as defend his championship in the Indy Karting Series shifter class, as well as the
Great Lakes Pro Series tour.
Lee’s first race on a CRG will be at the Stars of Karting East series opener April 5-6 subbing for the
injured Cole Mathewson, who broke his foot in the TAG race at the same Ocala Grand Prix track March 15th. Lee will compete in the new 125 TAG Shifter
class. In addition to his Stars duties, Lee will wear the #1 number plate as defending champion in the Lucas Oil/Indy Karting Series Pro Shifter
class, which kicks off April 26th in Indianapolis. Lee will also run the full Great Lakes Pro Series Tour, the series run by Terry and Shirley
Riggins, which was formerly the GLSKUSA series. The Great Lakes Pro Tour features races in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois and includes a
temporary circuit in Anderson, IN; two long track or road race events in Michigan; and 3 shorter sprint type kart tracks including New Castle
Motorsports Parks in Indiana, Circleville Raceway in Ohio, and Concept Haulers Speedway in Illinois to provide a wide variety and experience to the
racers.
